This year, the Kartepe Summit, which will be hosted by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, will convene on the theme of "Migration, Refugees and Humanity". The Summit, which will be held at Kartepe Green Park Hotel between October 26-28, will be attended by numerous scientists, intellectuals, politicians and members of the media from around the world.
Çavuşoğlu to Be the Honorary Board Chairman of the Migration Themed Kartepe Summit
The Kartepe Summit 2018 will convene under the Honorary Board Chairmanship of Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic.
Visited by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu and the General Secretary of the Metropolitan Municipality İlhan Bayram as a part of the Kartepe Summit efforts, the Minister Çavuşoğlu confirmed that the Ministry's resources will be put into active use for the international status of the summit and to effectively explore the global issue of migration it addresses.
A Multi-Perspective Look on Migration
With 2 conferences, 2 workshops, 24 panels and 11 academic sessions, the Kartepe Summit, will be held in October 26-28, and will be the biggest migration-themed international organization of 2018. The results of the Kartepe Summit 2018, where the notions of "Migration and Refugees" will be reviewed from a broad perspective, will be composed into a declaration as in the last year and officially shared with many policy- and decision-making organizations around the world, the United Nations being in particular.
Applications for the academic seminars of the Kartepe Summit 2018, which has already attracted a great deal of attention from both national and foreign intellectuals, scientists, politicians and media members, will be available until 17 August 2018.
