THE NEW MEETING DESTINATION OF THE INTELLECTUAL WORLD: THE KARTEPE SUMMIT
The Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is introducing a new international summit to Turkey. The Summit will take place in Kartepe every September or October to discuss the social and political issues that are of particular concern to Turkey and the world. To be hosted by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the first Kartepe Summit will start this year with the symposium titled "International Symposium on July 15 and Coups D'etat - Global Impacts, Media and Democracy. The summit will take place from Oct. 26 to 28, and a large number of scientists, intellectuals, politicians and journalists will attend it from Turkey and the world.
A New International Brand: The Kartepe Summit
Our country, which has grown into a global player, is in a position directly affected by the world’s problems. The Kocaeli Büyükşehir Municipality will organize the summit every year in Kartepe to gain new visions to be presented by national and international participants regarding the issues that it has to deal with.
The Kartepe Summit will become traditional as a summit which develops solutions to problems and brings right and beneficial outputs with the topic it deals with every year. Kocaeli Metropolitan Mayor İbrahim KARAOSMANOĞLU, who is the pioneer of the project, said, "Turkey and humanity are passing through a very sensitive period. It is our most important duty to do our share so that the new world, which is being re-established, can be properly and rightly established. We are actualizing the Kartepe Summit for a good, right and beautiful future. We intend to do the good. I hope it will be good."
The summit aims to be an instance of Davos and similar summits in our country, where global crises and opportunities for cooperation will be discussed by top figures from all walks of life. The current interest in the project shows that it will actualize this claim.
In the summit declarations, which will be published after each summit, global and regional problems will be analyzed. The proposed solutions will be announced to the world publicopinion. Summit declarations will be shared with related national and international organizations, policy makers and decision-makers.
34 countries from seven continents are in Kartepe Summit
The Kocaeli Kartepe Summit will discuss the unknown and invisible aspects of both regional and global events with scientists, intellectuals, politicians and the media.
The main event to be organized this year is the International Symposium on July 15 and Coups D'etat. In addition to the symposium to be held within the summit, conferences and panels will be organized by local and foreign participants. This year Kartepe Summit will be attended by people from 34 countries in sevencontinents. Scientists will unveil the unknown aspects of the world coups order with their declarations about the July 15 invasive coup attempt and nearly 500 coups that have taken place around the world in the past half century.
